Account Information

The Tax Authority accredits the brand, model and specification of each POS or E-SDC supplied by a supplier. This is done to ensure that EFDs for taxpayers' businesses are operating in accordance with these Regulations:

  • 'application' means an application for accreditation.
  • 'applicant' means a supplier or taxpayer who makes an application

If your business is sales of cash registers, POS devices, software, software development, or any other activity related to the means of issuing invoices affected by Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) specification, you must start adoption with the requirements as soon as possible. You should complete this form to become registered as a potential supplier of Electronic Fiscal Devices or its components (POS / E-SDC). Becoming a supplier is prerequisite for submitting your application for accreditation of either POS or E-SDC. Definitions:

  • POS means a point of sale invoicing device or software which is an electronic device or software application that is -
    • used by a business for management control in the areas of sales analysis and stock control
    • a component of the business's EFD -
      1. into which a cashier enters the transaction data for each transaction made by the business; and
      2. from which a fiscal invoice for the transaction is issued;
  • SDC means a sales data controller which is the component of an EFD that -
    • receives transaction data from a POS component of the EFD;
    • analyses the transaction data into fiscal data
    • formats the fiscal data as a fiscal invoice, creates the digital signature for the EFD and records the digital signature on the fiscal invoice;
    • transmits the fiscal invoice to the POS;
    • preserves the transaction data and fiscal data in an irrevocable and secure manner; and
    • transmits the fiscal data to the Authority's system;
  • E-SDC or 'External SDC' means a SDC that is hardware set up as a separate component of the EFD used by a taxpayer;
  • V-SDC or 'Virtual SDC' means a SDC that is software attached to the Authority's system
  • EFD or 'Electronic Fiscal Device' means a system, composed of one SDC and at least one POS connected together, that -
    • receives, records, analyses and stores fiscal data;
    • formats fiscal data into fiscal invoices;
    • has a secure element which transmits the fiscal data to the Authority's system; and
    • produces fiscal invoices and issues them to a customer
